Join me on a journey of resilience and healing through the lens of Papabird Photography. As a disabled military veteran, I capture the beauty in contrast, transforming pain into perspective. Explore my portfolio and discover stories of strength and light found in unexpected places.
As a disabled military veteran, my photography journey has been profoundly shaped by my experiences. After 8 years of service, I discovered that photography is not just a passion but a form of therapy that allows me to transform pain into powerful visual stories.
Each frame I capture is a meditation—a moment of stillness, of truth, of reverence. Through my lens, I seek to transmute pain into perspective, scars into stories, and fleeting beauty into something eternal. My work is not just an expression—it is a healing. It is how I re-enter the world, not as a soldier, but as an artist and healing father.
With every photograph, I offer a glimpse into the duality I’ve lived: the tension between destruction and creation, chaos and calm, the ugliness of war and the grace that somehow survives it. This is my gift I give to the world and to my self.
This is my journey, and I share it with you in hopes that others might see a little more clearly, feel a little more deeply, and heal in their own way.
